Based in Calicut, Kerala, Charunainika is a young author of just 10 years. From the very young age of two, she had started reflecting upon the world around her through her drawings. She has lately found her true vocation in books. It is no wonder that she became an artist as well as an architect who constructs reading habit in children. 'Doodle Charu', a YouTube channel she launched to home in young readers, has become her mouthpiece. Prolific reading of children's literature has always kept her connected to a lot of books in both English and Malayalam. It was reading that eventually exposed her to writing. ‘The Unknown Friend’ is her debut novella, in which she embarks on the wonderland of verbal imagination.
