Sreelakshmi is a model for us to emulate on yet another level. It is indeed remarkable that the poems here come from her observation of the real – not the virtual real. Though a digital native, she seems unburdened by screens that can imprison and throttle her. Butterfly like, she flits freely from one little thing to another, touching them, smelling them, feeling them and conveying to the world, in the most original and natural manner, the impressions they leave on her, through her mellifluous words and images. It’s a music that belongs to the long ago for most of us.
Sreelakshmi Rijesh is the only daughter of Mr Rijesh Sreedharan, a Project Manager working in Abu Dhabi and Sreela, a Home Maker. She stays in Abu Dhabi, UAE, with her parents. Her native place is in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. She is currently a student in class 2 of model school Abu Dhabi. She showed her interest in writing poems at the age of 5. But most of her writing took place during the covid pandemic lockdown period. Apart from writing poems she is also interested in listening stories, surfing the net, drawing, painting etc. She is a happy go lucky girl She is an avid participant and winner of several competitions in her school like English, Malayalam and Arabic recitations, speech, quizzes etc. She loves anchoring.
